Studies show the right lobe of the brain has different functions than the left side. The left side is analytical, verbal, strategic, linear thinking, and precise. The right brain is intuitive, creative, emotional, spiritual and is the artist in all of us. The left brain bullies the artist into thinking they cannot draw. The right brain doesn't care about anything but beauty in shape, color and line. The left brain deactivates when drawing from this perspective of the right side of the brain. One technique to switch into the right brain mode is to draw something (observable) Up Side Down. The Left brain doesn't know how to process that and deactivates.
